As regular users of our parish footpaths we are becoming increasingly concerned about their condition. Examples are:
The path from Eastmoor Villas on the A161 to Marlborough Avenue needs attention as several shrubs are overgrowing it.
Doctor's trod is almost impassible, some growth is removed from time to time but the bulk of the hedgerow on it's eastern side is gradually taking over.
The path from the old railway bridge on Lords Fold lane(off Haxey Lane) towards the church is getting difficult to navigate due to overgrowing bushes, long grass and very uneven surface.
Bushes on the eastern side of Haxey Lane in the vicinity of the tennis courts cause users to step into the road to pass.
No doubt some of these require the attention of adjacent propert owners but this should not prevent them being addressed.
