:-[In Response to the complaint. The dog training in question, is now not in the field behind this gentlemans house. The training promotes responsible dog ownership and makes dreams come true. Every effort is made to teach people how to train dogs and keep them under control. The training is non profit making and is run with a passion to make every dog and owner happy. Rarely is there continuous barking, sometimes dogs bark when excited and happy...which they are, unlike some local dogs that live nearby that can be heard barking constantly some days. The trainer has worked alongside the local councillor to promote cleanliness in the village and stop the dog fouling and continues to do this. The trainer is extremely approachable and would have been happy to have discussed this problem. Which she had already noticed when she spotted the above gentleman taking photographs one day. The problem has already been solved by moving from the said field.

Thank you for responding Admin. I am very upset to report that the new owners of the property have had a verbal complaint this week about dogs barking and they have sadly had to ask the dog trainer to leave. Strange how it has taken 3 years to notice dogs barking? This just doesn't affect and disappoint the owners of the land, who wanted the trainer to stay, but alot of dog owners who enjoy attending the training. This much respected trainer is now looking to find a new venue to continue the good work. It is a pity that the complainers didn't take the time to come and see the dog trainer and see what a good work she does.

I attend the classes of the said dog trainer and now own 3 well behaved, well socialised dogs whom I can walk anywhere. I receive many compliments about how well mannered my dogs are and indeed my 80 year old father happily takes my dogs off lead in the woods near where he lives because he is safe in the knowledge that they will immediately obey his commands. He has had many compliments from horse riders, cyclists and fellow dog walkers on my dogs behaviour. Many people who attend the said trainers classes are there with their first dog or with rescue dogs that they have adopted. It is not only the dogs who are taught how to behave but the owners too. Most problems that arise with dogs are due to ignorant/inexperienced owners and surely the fact that the said trainers is educating and promoting responsible dog ownership is to the benefit of everyone. I would also like to point out that on the odd occasion a dog may bark at training class, which is not happening constantly, the owner is present and quietens it immediately, it is far worse a situation when a dog being left outside all day in a garden whilst the owner is at work. Indeed if the council is rung regarding a noise complaint the first thing they say is have you spoken to the owner..... I just hope that the village of Haxey is not going to suffer long term now the trainer is having to leave the premises and give up teaching these classes.

I just can not believe that this wonderful dog trainer has had to give up training at this wonderful venue, over one person's complaint. In all fairness the trainer has been there 3 years and the complaintant started taking cats in 2 years ago? did he not have a problem with the dogs barking then?? did he not think that his home would be in approriate for the cats?? As training is only on Wednesdays and Saturdays I can just not understand what his problem is? why not come and talk to the trainer? there is minimal barking when I have attended the training and as responsible dog owners we keep are dogs quiet. So it is sad that the new owner have been put in this posion of asking the trainer to leave. One question is this person on the council or someone high up in the village?? just a thought!! Hope the person feels happy with themselves

This is so sad!
The trainer is a lovely lady and after attending some of her classes cannot see what the problem is. Yes, the dogs do sometimes bark but it is the odd one and not for long. I can't understand the problem with traffic caused by the classes either. There are a handful of vehicles all parked on private land not causing nuisance in anyway.
Haxey and the surrounding villages have very little resources. We all have to travel to bigger towns like Doncaster and Scunthorpe to access what most people take for granted as being on their doorstep. Instead of complaining, we should be supporting people like the trainer who put time, money and effort into helping local people. She provides a much needed service for the area and one which all people in the area can benefit from as having well trained and socialised dogs in the community is a blessing for all.
It speaks volumes that the the trainer has been at these premises for three years yet there is only a complaint when new owners move in. I feel sorry for the new owners, they have found themselves in an unpleasant situation through no fault of their own, add on the fact that they have now discovered they have NIMBY neighbours poor people!

After receiving the really sad news that i would no longer be able to take my 4 month old puppy to puppy classes in East Lound which has been absolutely invaluable to myself and my puppy. it has helped me to be a responsible dog owner and we were on our way to being well trained (both myself and the puppy) by a wonderful teacher. it is really sad when, i had found on my doorstep ( i have been a resident of Haxey for 24 years) what i thought was an ideal place to attend such classes and really sad that it has come to an end in such a manner.
